Indeed, moisturizing does not mean greasing excessively or with just anything. Be aware that most overly greasy elements prevent the scalp from breathing. This can create a chain reaction leading to dandruff, irritation, and sometimes even root asphyxiation.

Animal and mineral fats should therefore be avoided, especially:

Petroleum jelly: It weighs down the hair without nourishing it, over-lubricates, and prevents the scalp from breathing.

Lanolin: Derived from cholesterol, it causes irritation and the secretion of the hormone (DHT) responsible for hormonal hair loss.

Glycerin: Its particularity is to absorb moisture for its own functioning, retaining the moisture necessary for the hair.

Check that none of these elements are present in the hair care products you use. It is simply a matter of restoring the hair's "ecology," an ecology whose balance has been significantly altered by chemical straightening. You need to rebuild the defenses that the hair no longer has by providing protein and hydrating it.
