Synopsis
"Antilles. Martinique colony, in the 1930s.
A simple communist activist, André Aliker, despite the frightened opposition of his relatives, will take over the printed newspaper that his Party publishes come hell or high water.
With extraordinary intuition, Aliker will become the impactful force that this means of expression could achieve, and he will very quickly transform the small activist paper into a real newspaper, applying investigative methods and an ethic worthy of the modern press.
In this colonial, hierarchical, and closed universe, subjected to the absolute power of factory owners and planters, this new journalism will have the effect of a cyclone. Aliker will directly attack the most powerful of the factory owners: The Dragon.
The latter has a reputation for destroying anything that opposes his interests. But André Aliker, confronting his own fear, defying his own death, with just his idea of journalism, will go to the end of his uncompromising concern for information and truth. And for freedom too. " To learn more.
